The Capilay Springs are a hive of activity in late August where the celebration for Saint Agustin takes place. The springs are a man-made 40m by 15m deep pool that captures fresh water from the limestone hills above. Children can be seen swimming in the pool at week-ends and on the other side of the road where the water exits you will see women washing clothes and further downstream people washing their livestock! It is a central feature in San Juan but the concrete seating and shade is in need of some repair and upgrade as the weather has taken its toll!
